Steve Martin and his wife have a new baby — kind of new, anyway.

The New York Post’s Page Six, which first broke the news, reports the baby was born in December.
“They’ve had a baby, and how they kept it a secret nobody knows,” a source told the Post in a reference to the 67-year-old Martin and his 41-year- old wife, Anne Stringfield. “Steve’s very private.”
A representative for Martin confirmed to People that Martin and Stringfield had had their first child but provided no details.
The actor, writer, comic and banjo player, his wife and the baby, whose name or gender have not been revealed, apparently have been spotted out near their L.A. home, according to a story posted on a Los Angeles Times blog.
