Officers from the La Quinta Police Department arrived at the store just after 2 a.m. on Thursday Feb. 14 in the 74-400 block of  Highway 111 in response to a commercial burglary.

A van seen leaving the area was stopped and Erick Ademir Carias, 24, of Los Angeles was detained.

Investigators learned Carias waited in the van while two accomplices broke into the T-Mobile store through an adjacent business, Sgt. DaSilva stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release.

The two males took off before officers arrived.

Michael Anthony Mixon, 44, of Corona was tracked down and arrested in Eastvale.

Carias and Mixon were both booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio on commercial burglary charges.

The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build and short black hair.

“This crime is related to several other burglaries at T-Mobile stores in Southern California and Arizona,” Sgt. DaSilva added.

Anyone with further details is urged to contact Investigator Albert Lourerio at 760-863-8488 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 760-641-STOP.
