The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose today to its highest amount since Oct. 26, increasing 2.8 cents to $4.211.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has increased 19 consecutive days, rising 49.5 cents over that span, including 1.3 cents on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 10.4 cents more than one week ago, 53.5 cents higher than one month ago and 30.8 cents greater than one year ago.
The increasing prices are the result of reduced supplies caused by low levels of production in Southern California stemming from refinery maintenance, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
