Police are on the lookout for two robbery suspects after they assaulted a store associate and left with merchandise at about 8:27 p.m. on Friday in the 1600 block of San Jacinto, it was reported.
The suspects attempted to leave the store when alarms sounded, according to a Riverside County sheriff’s report.
When the store employe attempted to confront the suspects — a man and a woman — about their alleged shoplifting, the man struck the employee and fled with the other suspect, Sgt. Agcaoili said.
The first suspect is described as a black male in his twenties with an average build, who was wearing a dark plaid jacket, a yellow undershirt and dark pants.
The second suspect is a female in her mid-twenties with an average build, who was wearing a knitted cap, dark jacket and dark pants, according to Agcaoli.
This is an ongoing investigation.
