One person was injured when two vehicles collided head-on today on Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage.
Dispatchers received a call shortly after 2:45 p.m. about the crash, which was near Library Way, Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Myling Bordeau said.
The extent of the person’s injuries were not immediately known, but Bordeau said the occupant was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment.
It was not disclosed how many other people may have been hurt.
Bordeau said the crash shut down traffic in the area as authorities investigated.
