Screenwriter Chris Terrio will host of a showing of his Academy Award-nominated film “Argo” in Palm Desert tonight and answer questions afterward.

The screening is set for 7 p.m. at Cinemas Palme d’Or, 72840 Highway 111.
Terrio is considered an Oscar front runner for the best adapted screenplay, and “Argo” is also nominated for best picture.
Terrio won the Writers Guild Award for best adapted screenplay on Sunday.
“Argo,” directed by Ben Affleck, is about a joint CIA-Canadian secret operation to rescue six American diplomatic personnel in revolutionary Iran in 1980.
