Four women and a man were arrested in an undercover prostitution sting in Palm Desert, a sheriff’s corporal said today.
The sting was conducted about 7 p.m. Thursday by officers from the Palm Desert Police Department Business District Team, sheriff’s Cpl. Angel Ramos said.
Arrested on suspicion of prostitution were Torri Wilkinson, 31, of Salt Lake City, Utah, 40-year-old Yunhua Lu from San Gabriel and 25-year-old Tricia Rodriguez of Coachella.
Mei Jun Wang, 45, of La Quinta was arrested on suspicion of pandering and 23-year-old Coachella resident Reynaldo Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of managing prostitution.
All the suspects were booked at the county jail in Indio.
