A man tried drowning himself today by driving his vehicle into the lake of an upscale Moreno Valley community, a sheriff’s deputy said.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 11:36 a.m. to the area of Iris Avenue and Los Cabos Drive, where they learned that the man swam to the shoreline near the Moreno Valley Ranch Community, Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Morales said.
It was uncertain whether the man changed his mind about his alleged attempted suicide but Morales said he was taken from the scene by paramedics
for a mental evaluation.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle that was towed out of the lake, Morales said.
