Officers arrested one person for suspicion of drunken driving during an overnight driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Perris, a police sergeant said today.
Sixteen drivers were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle while unlicensed and 12 motorists were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle on suspended or revoked driver’s license.
The checkpoint was at Scott and Haun roads, and it ran from 7 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. today, said Menifee police Sgt. Sergio Rodriguez.
Two motorists were arrested on other criminal charges and one motorist was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant, Rodriguez said.
