A 19-year-old man was facing possible criminal charges today after a deputy pulled over a vehicle in San Jacinto and allegedly found more than one pound of marijuana and hashish inside, a sheriff’s sergeant said.
Leroy Langston II of Hemet was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Main Street, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Joey Nardone.
The deputy who made the stop reported smelling a strong scent of cannabis coming from the interior of the vehicle and noticed a large amount of marijuana on the passenger side floor board, Nardone said.
“A search of the vehicle revealed over one pound of marijuana and hashish,” he said.
Langston was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana and possession of hashish, Nardone said.
