A two-vehicle crash in Pacoima today left a woman and her four-year-old son hospitalized in serious-to-critical condition and two other young children hurt, according to authorities.

The crash was reported at about 9:45 a.m. in the 13700 block of Van Nuys Boulevard, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The woman, about 30, and her son were airlifted for hospital treatment, Scott said.
Two other boys, ages 1 and 2, were transported by ground ambulance for hospital treatment in unknown condition, Scott said.
It was unclear if they are related to the woman, he said.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation
