As our parents age and become increasingly fragile, it can be a challenge to find ways to support their care and independence.
For families throughout Southwest Riverside, there is Country Villa Murrieta.
Striving for exemplary patient satisfaction rates, facility administrator Catherine Wisnoski said the goal at the Murrieta-based rehabilitation program is to provide “compassionate care with an energetic, positive spirit.”
Country Villa Murrieta has served the Southwest Riverside County for 12 years, providing post-acute nursing and rehabilitation care for both inpatient and outpatient services.
The facility is now set to debut its new 46-bed post-acute unit with a grand opening event being held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28.
With over 25 full- and part-time physical, occupational and speech therapists, those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries can choose Country Villa Murrieta as a place to have their strength and independence restored.

The expansion now brings the facility’s capacity to 145 beds.
Wisnoski estimates that the average length of stay for patients is roughly 20-30 days, with the bulk of the admissions requiring orthopedic care, such as joint or knee replacements.
The facility plans to continue to offer orthopedic post-surgical recovery, expanding this program along with the development of a cardiac rehab program.
“We try to keep it like a family here,” Wisnoski said, noting that support staff is committed to restoring patients back to their prior lives or better.
The expanded facility offers a warm, home-like environment with calming colors and interior decor, breezy patios and gardens, library, café and spacious gathering rooms for family members to visit while their loved ones convalesce.
Wisnoski said:“We have explored the needs of the community and there is a need for this kind of service. It’s very fulfilling to know we’re serving others.”
Country Villa Murrieta accepts most insurance, Medicare and medical managed care programs.
The facility is located at 24100 Monroe Ave. in Murrieta.
