Power outage affects hundreds in Carlsbad

About 600 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in the Carlsbad area were without electricity early today but power was restored to most within a few hours, according to the utility.

The outage was reported at 11:18 p.m., Monday Feb. 25, SDG&E said on its website.

Around 3 a.m., power was restored to all but about 270 customers, according to SDG&E, which estimated electricity in the area would be fully restored by 11 a.m.

The cause was under investigation.
