Temecula man jailed after vicious golf club attack

A Temecula man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend with a golf club, it has been reported.

Officers from the Temecula Police Department arrived on scene at about 2:30 p.m., Monday Feb. 25 in the 29600 block of Solana Way.

The victim told officers 23-year-old Robert Lance German showed up at the residence and smashed several windows with a golf club, came in and attacked both victims.

A toddler was also injured by flying glass.

“The suspect threatened to kill everyone in the apartment before stealing a bottle of wine and leaving in his vehicle,” Sgt. Wade stated in a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release.

As investigators were talking with the victims German returned to the scene, then sped off.

Wade said a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter kept close tabs on German as he drove dangerously around Temecula.

A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter was deployed and kept close tabs on German as he drove dangerously around Temecula.

Wade said at one point German crashed into another car on Pauba Road near Via Rami. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

The suspect then drove on a dead-end road and ran off.

German was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on charges of residential burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, felony vandalism, terrorist threats, domestic violence, child endangerment, resisting arrest, DUI, reckless driving and misdemeanor hit and run.
