Update: The Riverside County Coroner’s office has identified the driver that was killed after he was broadsided by another automobile in Jurupa Valley.
Jose Roblero, 85, of Riverside died at a local hospital following the collision.
A man has died after a traffic accident near Patriot High School in Jurupa Valley, Riverside County Sheriff’s officials have reported.
Initial investigations revealed a male driver and female passengers were making a u-turn in a white sedan just before 3 p.m., Tuesday Feb. 26 when a black vehicle driving eastbound was unable to avoid colliding with the car.
Both people in the white car were taken to Riverside Community Hospital where the driver died as a result of his injuries, Sgt. Porterfield said.
The female passenger’s condition has not been released.
“At this point in the investigation it is not known whether alcohol was a factor in the collision,” Sgt. Porterfield added.
