LUNAFEST, a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women, will come to Mt. San Jacinto College.

The program of nine films – filled with stories of reflection, hope and humor – will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 2 in the San Jacinto Campus Theatre, located at 1499 N. State Street in San Jacinto.

LUNAFEST will travel to over 150 cities and screen in front of 20,000 people.

Each year, various organizations bring LUNAFEST to their communities and raise funds for their local non-profits as well as LUNAFEST’s main beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Fund.

The event is sponsored by Soroptimist International of San Jacinto Hemet Valley and Mt. San Jacinto College.

Soroptimist International is an organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world.

Over 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries contribute time and financial support to community-based and international projects that benefit women and girls.

LUNAFEST tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the event, or pre-purchased.

Cost of admission is $20.
