Woman charged with attempted murder in Riverside mobile home stabbing

Attempted murder and other felony charges were filed today against a woman accused of breaking into an 80-year-old Riverside woman’s mobile home and beating and stabbing her, then burglarizing several neighboring residences and stabbing a dog.

Shannon Lynn Jones, 26, was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly victimizing residents of the Meadows Mobile Home Park at 4000 Pierce St.

Along with the attempted murder count, Jones is charged with aggravated mayhem, robbery, carjacking, reckless driving, cruelty to animals and four counts of burglary.

The defendant, who is being held in lieu of $1 million bail at the Robert Presley Jail, was slated to make her initial court appearance this afternoon at the Riverside Hall of Justice.
