Five suspected drunken drivers were arrested during a Chula Vista Police Department saturation patrol, police said today.
The Friday night patrol was held to increase public awareness, decrease the number of drunken or drugged drivers and to ensure drivers had a valid license, police said in a statement.
Officers also cited three drivers without licenses and one who was driving with a suspended license, police said. Officers issued 26 citations for other various vehicle code violations.
The patrol was funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Way to go, 5 drunk drivers that did not get the opportunity to kill anyone that night. Keep up the work CTS and Highway patrol and every single ones helps and gets the workd out.
