Moreno Valley police are on the hunt for a man who forced his way into a woman’s car while she drove at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1 on Gernert Rd. in an unincorporated area of Moreno Valley.
“The victim stopped her vehicle and an unknown male suspect entered the vehicle. The suspect forced the victim to drive to a remote area near the intersection of Two Trees Road and Galaxy Heights Road, in the unincorporated area of Riverside,” said Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Del Valle in a report.
The woman was able to escape once they reached their destination, Del Valle said.
A search by police officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department, Riverside Police Department, and University of California, Riverside who responded to the scene turned up nothing.
Officials said the suspect is a male adult, about 5-foot-10 with a heavy build and wearing dark clothing and a mask.
There is a possibility someone may have seen him or a suspicious vehicle before in either area.
The Moreno Valley Police Department is asking anyone with additional information about this case to contact Detective Stites at 951-486-6700 or 951-247-8700.
