A sheriff’s deputy received a call at 8:57 p.m. Thursday about a disabled car and found a 2008 Toyota Scion stopped at Painters Path, east of Fred Waring Drive.

The car had a ruptured right front tire with a bent rim. The damage was caused when the driver and sole occupant of the Scion, Robert Paul Braner III, struck the curb, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. David Wright said.

Traffic was not disrupted by the crash and no one was injured.

Braner, 43, was arrested Thursday night for suspicion of drunken driving, Wright said.

His picture did not appear in online jail records today.
