A man was arrested today for allegedly fighting another man in Corona and leaving him with an eye injury, a police lieutenant said.
Officers were dispatched at 12:43 p.m. to 109 N. McKinley St. where the alleged victim suffered his injury, which required medical treatment, according to Corona police Lt. James Patton.
It was initially believed that the suspect attacked his alleged victim in the eye with a knife but that was not confirmed as an investigation into the scuffle is ongoing, Patton said.
Police are not certain whether a weapon was actually used but Patton said the unidentified suspect was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
The motive behind the fight was not immediately known.
