“Required dental screenings are visual examinations and do not require the use of x-rays”, said Ruth Bol, DDS, of The Children’s Dental Practice in a released statement. “Tooth decay is the most chronic childhood disease, caused by bacteria in the mouth. These screenings ensure that children are ready for a pleasant and productive day with their teachers.”
