The Children’s Dental Practice will offer free dental screenings for families with children entering kindergarten, it was recently announced.

“Required dental screenings are visual examinations and do not require the use of x-rays”, said Ruth Bol, DDS, of The Children’s Dental Practice in a released statement. “Tooth decay is the most chronic childhood disease, caused by bacteria in the mouth. These screenings ensure that children are ready for a pleasant and productive day with their teachers.”
Per California law, children are required to have a dental screening by May 31 of his/her first year in public school. Parents must present an Oral Health Assessment Form, signed by a dentist, when registering their child for school.
Screening dates are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for April 15 and 22.
Screenings are open to families in throughout Riverside County.
No insurance is required.
