An off-duty officer was allegedly attacked and fired off a round at three suspects on the morning of Sunday March 3, in the area of Red Maple and Saddlebrook Lane in Moreno Valley, law enforcement officials reported today.
According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s press release, no one was injured by gunfire and no property was damaged.
“Three juvenile males involved in the incident were detained but later released,” Sgt. Erickson stated in a sheriff’s report.
The investigation is ongoing and the name of the officer in addition to the department he works for will not be released at this time.
