The fire was reported at 11:09 p.m., Tuesday March 5 in the 52300 block of Date Street, said Melody Hendrickson of the Riverside County Fire Department.

Fifteen firefighters battled the blaze, which was contained around 11:50 p.m., Hendrickson said.

The mobile home was completely destroyed, she said.

A man who lived in the double-wide was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor smoke inhalation, she said, adding that the American Red Cross was called to assist the man in finding temporary housing.

No other injuries were reported.

The man got out of the trailer before firefighters arrived, Hendrickson said, adding that the cause of the fire was under investigation.
