Los Angeles: Metro train lines get tangled, station closed

A Metro Blue Line train’s overhead connection system became entangled today with the overhead powering lines at the San Pedro Street Station, which was closed while crews worked to repair the problem, authorities said.

The problem was reported about 8:15 a.m. at the station at 767 E. Washington Blvd., according to Luis Inzunza of Metro.

No injuries were reported.

Buses were brought in to ferry rail passengers around the affected area while crews worked to repair the system, Inzunza said.
