The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 4.3 cents less than one week ago and 11.5 cents less than one year ago, but 15.7 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

“Most California refineries have concluded their scheduled maintenance in advance of selling summer gasoline without major incidents and one result is that wholesale gasoline prices in Los Angeles have fallen more than 40 cents per gallon since peaking on Feb. 15,” Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California said.

“While local prices are still significantly above $4 per gallon, it is nice to see them start to drop before spring break begins.”
