A motorist crashed and was trapped inside her crumpled vehicle in Beaumont but was later freed by firefighters, a spokeswoman said today.
Firefighters were dispatched at 8:14 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Lambs Canyon and Dump roads where the single-vehicle crash happened.
Firefighters used a cutting tool to free the motorist nearly 45 minutes after the call, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
It was not disclosed how the crash occurred and Hendrickson did not specify if anyone else traveled with the motorist who was taken to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
