Temecula outage leaves more than 400 without power

An outage in Temecula early today drained 411 residents and businesses of power, according to Southern California Edison. Power Outage

The outage was reported at 1:19 a.m. and occurred at a location in the Riverside County city that was not immediately known.

Unlike other SoCal Edison outages, where power is temporarily disrupted to replace old equipment, today’s outage was not planned.

A problem with equipment was listed as the cause on the utility’s web site.

Power is expected to be restored by 6 p.m., according to SoCal Edison.
