MSJC to host ‘Religious Understanding Day’ in San Jacinto

The 12th annual Religious Understanding Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 in the library of the San Jacinto campus located at 1499 N. State St.

This event will be an opportunity to have interfaith dialogue with members of various religious traditions, faith communities and spiritual traditions.

Representatives from Christian, Jewish, Pagan, Scientologist and Humanist communities will make presentations.

A roundtable discussion period will be held followed by a closing ceremony at the college’s Peace Pole.

Morning refreshments will be provided and box lunches will be available for a small donation.

This event is sponsored by the MSJC Diversity Committee in cooperation with the Human Relations Council of the Greater Hemet, San Jacinto, and Menifee Region and the Hemet – San Jacinto Interfaith Council.

This day of interfaith dialogue and sharing is free and open to the public.

Members of participating faith communities are encouraged to bring information for display during the event.
