Police in Eastvale are searching for a man who is suspected of robbing a bank, it was learned.

According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred at about 10:32 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 at the Chase Bank in the 6000 block of Hamner Avenue in Eastvale.
“Upon arrival, officers received information from employees and witnesses stating an unknown male adult entered the bank armed with a semi-automatic handgun,” said Sgt. Vanessa Sloniker in the report.
“This unknown suspect walked up to the teller windows demanding cash from the drawers while pointing the handgun at the employee,” Sloniker said.
The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, fleeing the scene in a dark-colored vehicle at a high rate of speed and out of the shopping center onto northbound Hamner Avenue.
A search of the area was conducted, but officers were unable to locate the suspect, Sloniker said.
