Man killed in Riverside identified

Authorities today identified a man who was killed in Riverside.

James Weatherby, 57, of Riverside died at Riverside Community Hospital about 8 p.m. Wednesday, after being brought there a short time earlier from the 5300 block of Canyon Crest Road, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau.

The cause of Weatherby’s death was not immediately disclosed.

The death, classified as a homicide, was being investigated by the Riverside Police Department.
