A parolee has been arrested after smashing sliding glass doors at several homes during attempted robberies in Palm Desert, it has been reported.
Officers from the Palm Desert Police Department were called just before 10 p.m., Thursday March 14 and responded to a home in the 40700 block of Sandpiper Court regarding a burglary.
After running off the suspect ran through another home in the area a couple of blocks away, Sgt. Brad Farwell stated in a sheriff’s report.
While conducting a door to door search of the area, officers learned, Francisco Granados, 22, of Palm Desert was confronted by an armed home owner when he broke through a slider at a home in the 100 block of Courtside Drive.
Granados dropped a replica gun while running away.
Deputies spotted the suspect in a parking lot nearby and he was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail on charges of burglary and violation of parole, Sgt. Farwell added.
