Two cars collided today at a Beaumont intersection and left three people trapped with moderate to minor injuries, a spokeswoman said.

Firefighters were dispatched shortly before 8 a.m. to Michigan Avenue and First Street and used a cutting tool to free the occupants, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.
Two people suffered unspecified moderate injuries that Hagemann said she believed required a trip to the hospital.
A third person with minor injuries did not.
