As tax day nears, you may have a pile of long outdated bills and paperwork that you are finally ready to rid yourself of.
Menifee residents are invited to shed these documents safely at the Community Shred Day planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 6.
The free document shredding and e-Waste event will be held at the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce office, located at 29683 New Hub Drive, Suite C in Menifee.
Residents are invited to bring up to two standard-sized boxes — about 1 cubic foot per box – of personal records to shred, such as old taxes, bank statements, pay stubs, check books, insurance policy and medical information, legal files and utility bills, credit card statements and pre-approved credit card offers.
The service is offered at no charge.
Among the e-Waste items to be accepted are computers, monitors, servers, hard drives, laptops, flat screens, televisions, cables and cell phones.
