Riverside police asked today for the public’s help in tracking down a man who approaches girls outside local high schools and attempts to lure them into his pickup truck with the promise of modeling work.

The same suspect is believed responsible for three separate incidents that occurred in the last six months near Riverside Polytechnic High School on Victoria Avenue and Raincross High School on Lincoln Avenue.

Riverside police Sgt. Jeff Spencer said the man approaches students and attempts to “coax them into his vehicle using the ruse of a modeling job.”

The suspect is described as Hispanic, around 30 years old, with dark curly hair that falls over his ears and brown eyes.

He has been seen driving a late-model silver Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, according to police.

Anyone with information about his identity or whereabouts is urged to call Detective Rita Cobb at 951-353-7120, or Detective Melissa Brazil at 951-353-7121.
