A responding officer arrived at the business one minute later and a pursuit of possible suspects in a white Chevrolet Suburban ensued.

The Suburban was chased for several minutes into Temecula where it ultimately crashed into the metal gates at the entrance to the Solana Ridge Apartments at 41754 Margarita Road near Overland Drive.

Several occupants – the exact number is not known — fled the vehicle on foot.

Officers approached the vehicle and discovered a woman in the back seat.

Paramedics with the Riverside County Fire Department as well as an AMR ambulance responded to the scene to evaluate and treat the woman.

The woman was not transported to a hospital; however, she was taken into custody and taken from the scene in a police car.

Several officers with the Murrieta Police Department, Temecula Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff’s Department set up a perimeter and began searching the apartment complex as well as a nearby neighborhood.

At least one police K-9 aided in the search.

While the search was taking place, another officer with the Murrieta Police Department responded back to the RCP Block and Brick location and discovered a smashed window as well as several pieces of evidence of a burglary.

The officer advised over the radio that the suspects managed to remove a large safe from the business, which was left in the parking lot in front of the broken window.

Additionally, a large metal chain, a pair of bolt cutters and a metal cable could be seen lying in the roadway near the entrance to the business.

A representative of the business was also at the scene speaking with the officer.

It is not known at this time if the suspects have been located.

  • We were definately up the rest of the night for this one. We were still awake and my daughter who was swinging onto our street at 2:47am was stopped by policemen who looked in her car, asked her her address, and told her that 3 men were on the run in the area and were being chased, could be armed and definately dangerous.
Asked if she had someone at home already to make sure the home was safe to go into and she said yes, she did have someone there. Yep Ole Mom with her 357, 125lb German Shephard that got to big for K9 training, another sister, and a son and too other small dogs that are more bark then bite, and an alarm system, LOL. She called home while with the officer to be sure we were ok before she headed to the end of our street.

Dont know what time it was resolved but they were still at the end of our street and on Margarita at 4ish. Sure hope they got these 3 men and they are not holed up in someones house with hostages and we just dont know it yet :/
    Will look for followup story.
