Ten motorists were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during an overnight checkpoint in Moreno Valley, a police sergeant said today.
Of the 10 arrests, three were for motorists driving under the influence of alcohol and seven for driving under the influence of drugs, said Moreno Valley police Sgt. Jim Bengston.
There was also one felony arrest for drug possession during the checkpoint at Cactus Avenue and Graham Street that began at 9:30 p.m. Friday and ended today at 3:30 a.m., Bengston said.
Fourteen vehicles were towed, 11 citations were issued for unlicensed drivers and four citations were issued for suspended driver’s licenses.
Four citations were also issued for vehicle code violations, he said.
