Soboba tribe gives 400 toys to RivCo Sheriff’s Department in Hemet
The Soboba donated over 400 toys and 400 canned food items collected in a toy and food drive.
Riverside County sheriff’s deputies in Hemet are today sorting through toys and food donated by the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians and the Soboba Casino to the area’s needy families, county officials said.
The Soboba donated over 400 toys and 400 canned food items collected in a toy and food drive, according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Cpl. Will Edwards.
Deputies will be distributing the food and toys throughout the month of December to families within the community who are in need this holiday season, Edwards said.
The families were identified and selected through recommendations from patrol deputies, school resource officers and other community members, he said.
