I felt the earthquake. I live in San Jacinto. The earthquake was about 45 seconds it felt like it was not going to stop. It was just like a rocking motion but all my pictures on my wall were moving.

We were down in El Centro and felt a big jolt. We had time enough to go down the stairs and out the door and still felt the rolling. I was standing near some trees that were swaying and there was no wind so I assume they were reacting to the pitching of the earth. I felt like I was standng on a boat in some pretty rough seas. All in all I think this thing went on for well over 3 minutes. When we went back inside some nick nacks had fallen off the shelves and the TV was about 8 inches off its base. The earthquake was followed about 10 minutes later by a very strong aftershock.
