Hemet woman arrested after Bank of America robbed

A 34-year-old Hemet woman has been arrested following the robbery of the Bank of America in Hemet, said Lt. Dean Evans in a news release.
Carlee Turner, 34, was booked on suspicion of robbery and taken to jail, Evans said.
About 9:35 a.m., dispatchers received a 911 call from inside the Bank of America at 2498 West Florida Ave., Evans said. As officers responded to the 911 call, Evans said, police dispatchers received additional calls from witnesses claiming that a bank robbery had just occurred. Callers described the suspect as a heavy set female adult, in her mid 30’s who was dressed in all red, Evans said.
Several officers were on scene within two minutes of the original call and began checking the area for the suspect. As officers arrived, Evans said, they learned that the suspect had just ran from the bank heading south across Florida Avenue.
Witnesses directed officers to the parking lot of the Regal Theater, where other citizens had briefly detained the suspect as she tried to get to her vehicle, Evans said.
Turner was detained by officers and later positively identified by bank employees, Evans said. When she was detained, Turner was in possession of the bank’s money and the demand note.
Further investigation revealed that the Turner had entered the bank and presented a teller with a note demanding money and advising the teller not to cause a scene. The suspect did not present a weapon.

this is not like carlee turner she would never do this i guess things have gone nuts.she will be truely missed and she would of not done if the job market wasn’t down …i know her and i feel the way she feels but i didn’t rob a bank but i know how she feels so good luck and wish you were still here with us not in jail.ive know carlee for years and she a mom making ends meet..

Yes, I do know this woman. She has been on welfare for many years and refuses to try to find a job. Yes school does cost money. I took out loans to put myself through college. I didn’t receive one penny from my parents or anyone else. This woman has been a bully for as long as I have known her. She has a past criminal record. This robbery wasn’t a desparate measure, it is just another crime to add to her long list of crimes she has already committed.

I also know this women. We all have a past. Some of us learn from our past mistakes. Who are we to judge anyone? We all have choices. But was this really a choice or a cry for help.? Carlee is a very good mother and person. I will be here for her. WE MISS YOU CARLEE.

This mom is a NUT. She goes to her son’s school and thinks she owns the place. I’m am so glad she got caught!! Mabe her son will have a chance if she doesn’t raise him. Anyone who is too lazy to get a job, lives off of welfare and has nothing better to do than try and intimidate others with her enormous size deserves what she gets. GREAT JOB HEMET POLICE!!

Frank – you seem to have a personal vendetta against this woman. I’ve noticed you have taken much time and trashed her on a couple of different websites. Its funny, I’ve talked to her family and friends, and they do not seem to know you. Did she turn you down at one time, or bully you in high school? Is your revenge? Does this make you happy or feel good that this happened? Kudos for you that you put yourself through college and were able to get student loans. Not everyone can. But the statements you made here are not entirely correct also. A long list of crimes? Where do you get your info? Why do you feel the need to write these things? What do you have to prove?

I hope Austin Does read this. She got what she deserves. No matter what your situation is, stealing is wrong. Even kids learn this. If you steal you pay and people have a right to speak up, she stole money from their bank. It is unfortunate that Carlee has taught her son that it is ok to steal when you need money. I hope her son pays attention to her time in court and learns it is not ok to steal. Her son is the real victim in all this.

You should know Trailer Trash that she worked at Wal-Mart until she embezzled thousands of dollars from them and got caught. Obviously there are people who know and love her but how can you sit there and protect her and make excuses for her? There is no good reason to rob a bank or to steal from someone! What if every person who needed rent money went and robbed a bank? You can’t even say that what she did was right or that she was “pushed” to do it. As far as her kid goes, she wasn’t thinking about him when she did this so WTF? I do not feel sorry for her one bit but she had to have been feeling pretty dang desperate to do something like this, or maybe she just thought she would really get away with it. You have to wonder if there is any drug use here also….

i know her and see her every day yes it was a bad thing she did and we all know this but we all will stand by here in this time of need she is a good mom and friend she was not on drugs at all i know her and no way and yes i think she just pop and went off the end she needed rent by the 25th or get kicked out and she did’n want her son to have no where to live. she was out looking for a job everyday and she could not find one i hope they let her out on or and we will be right there to help her get past this. we love you carlee

First off, we need to look at the big picture. Carlee obviously had some self created problems and issues; however, there is NO excuse when choosing to do wrong. I do agree with some of the other writers that we shouldn’t bring Austin into this. He is an innocent boy and shouldn’t be held accoutable for his mothers poor choices. Carlee isn’t exactly a very nice person. I know this for a fact, but will not give reasons as to how I know this. She is the kind of woman that goes around bullying others when she doesn’t get her way. This final act of a felony, just proves my point. We all have choices in life, some which are not easy; however, I’m sure if she had been a nicer person, people would have stepped in to help her. I just feel sad for Austin who now has to deal with the embarrassment of having a mother in jail. So sad and pathetic. Hopefully she will get the help she needs in jail and will come out a new and improved Carlee. Lets us all hope and pray.

I am not defending her actions, I am defending her son. He should not be punished in any way for what her mother has done. Are you saying role models cant make mistakes? She should have the opportunity to explain her actions to him first, and not hear the garbage that people are saying over these websites… and some dont even know her! I am sure you have made mistakes and bad judgements in your life right? Wouldnt you want to have a chance to explain yourself to your family and friends before others did? Expecially your children!

Ok I know I’ve stated this before but here’s the problem with these forums. People think that just because their not in person (or face to face) they can say anything they want too, even if its mean and hurtful. People forget that there are real people with real feelings on here that will be reading this. Have a little compassion for people, stop and think before you write. A women in temecula robbed 4 banks at gun point and only got 4 year sentancing in jail so carlee should be out in 0 to 2 years is my guess only one bank for carlee and four for the temecula mother and she a mother of 3 so we might see carlee sooner

Carlee back in school there were so many people doing stupid things and we always talked crap about them. We lived really well and had a lot of fun. You were there for me when I was sick and hurt and you brought me those cute little Troll dolls all the time. These are the wonderful things I think about when I hear your name. But Hearing this news breaks my heart. I am so sorry about the mistakes you have made but it is never to late to turn your life around. Pray and seek Gods forgiveness. I don’t know what caused you to feel you needed to do something like robbing a bank but I pray you are safe and I am thankful that you or any one else did not get hurt.
