A 27-year-old Menifee woman has been arrested after she dragged a deputy who tried to prevent her from taking the officer’s vehicle, said Sgt. Tony Hoxmeier in a news release.
Jamie Kay Grady was taken into custody Saturday and booked on suspicion of attempted carjacking, strong arm robbery, carjacking and assault on peace officer with a deadly weapon. She was taken to the Southwest Detention Center.
The incident started about 11:26 a.m. after deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Linnet Drive in Lake Elsinore concerning an attempt carjacking and strong arm robbery, Hoxmeier said.
The victim was in her vehicle in front of her home when a woman opened her car door and attempted to drag the victim out of her vehicle, Hoxmeier said. The female suspect was scared away by the victim’s boyfriend but only after the suspect had taken keys from the victim by force.
Officers searched the area for the suspect and an officer located her in the 3500 block of Lakecrest Drive. As the officer attempted to detain the suspect she broke free from the officer, ran to the officer’s patrol vehicle and started to drive away, Hoxmeier said. The officer reached into the driver’s side of the vehicle and attempted to stop the suspect as she drove away. He was dragged approximately 210 feet down Lakecrest Drive until he was able to gain control of the suspect and take her into custody, Hoxmeier said.
The officer was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries he received during the incident. The officer was treated and released.

Deported where? You automatically ASSume she’s an illegal? Well she’s not. She’s a white supremist heroine addict that has over dosed multiple times, used heroine while pregnant, lost custody of both her kids, and stabbed her soon to be ex husband. She’s never been a good person in the 7 yrs I’ve known her. She should have gotten more time than she did. She makes me sick, and I’m glad her husband is finally getting away from her.
