Lake Elsinore motorist arrested in Wildomar after police pursuit
The 12-minute chase ended about 7:50 p.m. Saturday when the Honda Accord being pursued by officers collided with a police vehicle.
A 26-year-old Lake Elsinore motorist was taken into custody after leading police on a pursuit from Murrieta to Wildomar, said Sgt. Ron Driscoll in a news release.
The 12-minute chase ended about 7:50 p.m. Saturday when the Honda Accord being pursued by officers collided with a police vehicle, Driscoll said. No one was injured. A passenger in the Honda was able to get out of the vehicle and get away.
Michelle Mills was booked on suspicion of auto theft, possession of stolen property and felony evading.
About 7:37p.m., Murrieta officers attempted to stop a 1997 Honda Accord for a vehicle code violation in the area of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Interstate 15, Driscoll said. The driver of the Honda fled from officers onto the northbound I-15.
Officers learned that the vehicle was reported stolen from Diamond Bar and they pursued the Honda on the I-15 freeway and onto surface streets in the city of Wildomar – reaching speeds of approximately 100 mph, Driscoll said.
During the pursuit, the Honda slowed within the Windsong Valley residential tract in Wildomar and a passenger from the vehicle ran off. The driver of the Honda continued to drive and, a short time later, collided with a police car in the 22000 block of Gierson Avenue and Mills was taken into custody, Driscoll said. The pursuit covered approximately 13 miles.
Anyone with information on the subject who fled the vehicle is encouraged to contact the on-duty Watch Commander at 951-696-3615.

This is the second high speed pursuit in my neighborhood in the last year! This is also the second that an air unit was involved in the search for the suspect. Most important… This is the second time that at least one of the suspects were able to elude these highly trained officers and their dogs! Be ready to protect your own family and properties because RSO has demonstrated that they aren’t very capable of doing so.
