Eight arrested in Lake Elsinore during stepped-up drunk driving crackdown
During the patrols, five people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: Daniel Guzman, 23, of Lake Elsinore; Robert Denhoed, 45, of Lake Elsinore; Jose Rendon, 29, of San Jacinto; Hildardo Padilla, 20, of Lake Elsinore ; Luis Charles, 35, of Lake Elsinore. Additionally, three people were arrested for public intoxication.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Team conducted patrols across the city Friday night from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. to crack down on drunk driving.
During the patrols, five people were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: Daniel Guzman, 23, of Lake Elsinore; Robert Denhoed, 45, of Lake Elsinore; Jose Rendon, 29, of San Jacinto; Hildardo Padilla, 20, of Lake Elsinore ; Luis Charles, 35, of Lake Elsinore.
Additionally, three people were arrested for public intoxication.
During the patrols, 14 drivers were given field sobriety tests; 19 drivers were cited for various vehicle code violations; 12 drivers were cited for driving without a license or for driving with a suspended license.
Funding for the patrol was provided through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
