Perris police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of robbing a woman and knocking her to the ground at a discount store in Perris, officials said today.
Perris police responded shortly before 6 p.m. July 18, to the Navajo Discount Store on 546 Indian Circle, after receiving calls about a strong-arm robbery, said Sgt. Kevin Smith in a news release.
Smith said the woman was in front of the store when the suspect went up to her and asked her for a cigarette. The woman told the suspect she did not have any, then turned away, Smith said. The man then snatched the purse off the woman’s shoulder, knocking her to the ground and ran away, Smith said.
