Tejada, 36, was acquired by the Padres Thursday from the Baltimore Orioles along with cash considerations in exchange for right-handed pitcher Wynn Pelzer. Cunningham, 24, was recalled from Triple-A Portland on July 3 for his second stint with the Padres this season.
