The 2010 Spring Rod Run continues through 8:30 tonight; Saturday the event runs from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cars entered into competition will be judged during the event; winners will be announced on Saturday.
Admission cost is $10 and proceeds benefit the Wishes for Children Foundation, a local non-profit organization that collaborates with local charities to help needy children.
Sponsored by the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association, the World of Wine event runs through Sunday and provides an opportunity for visitors to take a self-guided tour of 27 Temecula Valley wineries to sample food and wine pairings at a cost of $89 per person.
“My dad started training horses in the 1940s,” Flores said. “We moved to this ranch [in Perris] in 1966. Back then my dad was training over at the Louis B. Mayer ranch.”
Heaslip said it's possible the heart condition played a role in Haim's death and expressed doubts that the actor was back in the grip of deadly addiction.
“The art show has been around from the start,” Papin said. “The women in the club wanted to bring culture and art into the valley back then and we’ve kept that going. This is one of our events so many look forward to.”
“This could be disastrous…the mood, the movement and the effect on students. For the sake of the district, its employees and its students, come back to the table.”
John Lewis has been teaching music technology for 11 years now, and won’t know until August whether he'll return to teach the class. “It’s not about the job, because I’ll still have a job. It’s about what kids learn in this class.”
