Bicyclist injured in Perris crash

A bicyclist suffered major injuries today after colliding with a car in Perris, it was reported.

According to a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department report, Perris resident Vincent Romero, 35, was struck at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

“Upon arrival, officers found that a bicyclist traveling southbound on Navajo crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a 2001 Dodge minivan traveling westbound on Navajo Road,” the report said.

Romero is currently listed in stable condition.

The driver of the Dodge was not injured.

This investigation is continuing and the Perris Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding this incident, or anyone that may have witnessed the collision to contact the Perris Police Department Traffic Division, Deputy Osterloh at 951-210-1000.
