A convicted sex offender in Hemet remained behind bars today for allegedly failing to register with local law enforcement, jail records showed.
Clinton Samuel LePage, 41, was arrested and booked Saturday night for suspicion of violating his state parole, and for failing to register as a sex offender.
Members of a sheriff’s task force arrested LePage at 728 Malibu St. in Hemet, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joey Nardone. State law requires all convicted sex offenders to register with their local law enforcement agency.
LePage was convicted of annoying or molesting a child under 18, according to the Megan’s Law web site. The website did not specify where that incident or conviction occurred.
