The California Highway Patrol has released a statewide blue alert, urging motorists to be on the lookout for a gray Nissan Titan believed to be driven by triple murder suspect Christopher Dorner.
A blue alert is a quick response system designed to issue and coordinate alerts following a violent attack upon a law enforcement officer.
The license plate number is 8D83987.
It is possible that a ski rack is installed on top of the vehicle.
Dorner, wanted for killing two people in Irvine and a Riverside police officer, is described as a 33-year-old black male, 6-feet tall and 270 pounds, wearing unknown clothing.
The subject of a massive statewide manhunt, Dorner is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
If seen, residents are urged not to make contact with the suspect, but to call the Riverside Police Department at 951-787-7911.
