Hemet: Suspect sought in scooter theft

Riverside County sheriff’s deputies who police San Jacinto were looking for a suspect who verbally threatened to take a victim’s Razor scooter, a sergeant said.

The robbery was reported at 5:42 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of South San Jacinto Avenue, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Santiago Agcaoili.

“The suspect approached the victim riding his own Razor scooter. The suspect then verbally threatened the victim and demanded his Razor scooter. The suspect left his own scooter behind and rode away on the victim’s scooter,”Agcaoili said.

The suspect was described as a 16-year-old Hispanic boy, with a thin build, wearing a black shirt and pants and headphones, he said.

The victim was also male, but no further description was available.
